Turning your dreams into reality: it’s possible!

It is a “concept” that I have been developing for a few articles now to help you grow your money.

But back to our sheep: how to turn your dreams into reality. If you are unfamiliar with item carnivals, click here to find out what it is.

STEP #1: HAVE DREAMS…AND GOALS

To achieve these dreams… you must above all have them!  Everyone is in their routine, in their daily routine and therefore no time to dream.

Myself, apart from traveling continuously, I think I had no more dreams. I didn’t even have any goals, to be honest, until very recently.

So, if you’re one of those people who forgot to dream, don’t panic, it’s normal. Very small, we are taught not to be in the moon , to keep our feet on the ground , not to imagine great things. All of this has made us think, unconsciously or not, that it’s not good to dream.

One in the northern hemisphere, one in the southern hemisphere, so you can be in the sun all year round 🙂

From a professional point of view, there was a time when I wanted to become a CFO . But, I don’t know for what reasons, the more I advanced in working life, the less this dream made me dream… But let’s not look for the why or the how. Still, over the course of my career, it became increasingly difficult to answer the famous question “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” “Uh, I don’t know… sunbathing under the coconut palms?” Something told me that answer wouldn’t have gotten me very far.

In short, I realized that I didn’t even have a career dream or a so-called “realistic” goal. So as much to tell you, that moving forward without much conviction, like that, after a while, I cracked.

SET GOALS

It took me a while but allowed me to have new dreams and turn them into goals. This is how we realize how a well-established routine prevents us from fulfilling ourselves.

Now I have new challenges, and every day I make sure to accomplish them.

STEP #2: GET INFORMED AND TRAINED

Easy to say, will you tell me. But where to start ?

The first thing to do is to get informed, to find out how we can proceed.

How: by drawing inspiration from those who have already done it. Because why should we reinvent the wheel?

By taking inspiration from those who have already achieved their dreams and goals similar to yours, you will have many paths to guide you.

Books, blogs, training , you have many sources available to get started.

So do not hesitate to take advantage of all these 21st century resources to train and inform you.

STEP #3: TAKE ACTION

Because yes, to turn your dreams into reality, the most important step to take will be to… take action!

Once your objectives are defined, even if it may seem obvious, it is always good to remember that without taking action, nothing will happen!

TALK ABOUT YOUR PROJECT

The best, when everything is clear in your head, that you have established an action plan, that you are ready, is to talk about your project. The world being small , there will always be someone who knows someone who can help you, guide you.

For example, I had the idea of going on a humanitarian mission during my sabbatical. After hours of research, from website to website, I understood that it might be harder than I thought. Even to be a volunteer, ready to help, you either had to have 10 years of experience (which I didn’t have), or pay an excessive price (up to$5,000 a week!)

I almost gave up until I was reminded that, in my entourage, there was a person who happened to be the director of a local Breton association. I contact her and explain my project to her. Neither 1 nor 2, here we are embarked every 2 towards the Equator to join the association which benefited from the help of the Breton association.

I think that if I hadn’t talked about this project in my entourage, I would still be trying to find out how to help…

So yes, it’s not always easy to talk about your project, especially if it’s off the beaten track or if you don’t want your idea stolen. But do not hesitate to “rake”.

BE WELL SURROUNDED

But when you’re surrounded by pessimistic people, who don’t believe in your plans, or even in yourself, who undermine your morale, it’s not always easy to manage.

Because, as they say, negative attracts negative . And you yourself risk stopping everything, convinced that it cannot work.

It is therefore important, even crucial, to surround yourself with people who lift you up, or at least who support you . It also comes down to avoiding those who are pessimistic, negative.

For my part, I am lucky to have someone by my side who supports me in the event of a storm, who boosts me in the lows, who celebrates successes with me and who above all believes in me. And all this makes the difference! It is sure that alone in my corner, I would never have held the road.
